MEET OUR MENTORS

Emery Howard- Spitzer (They/Them)

Head Mentor and Singing Captain
Emery has been with JADA for 10 years, not only growing as a performer but as a person.
I have been in many classes through the years, including drama, dance, singing and stage combat, taking part in shows like Treasure Island, Narnia, Pronoun, and helping out with backstage for our lower school. At the beginning of my journey, I was in a particularly bad place with my self confidence and wellbeing and I wouldn’t speak or perform in-front of others. But through years of unending guidance and love from my teachers and peers, performing now brings me so much joy and has nurtured my confidence in countless ways. As well as this, I have learnt how to collaborate and communicate within a team to create a positive environment, whether that’s a company of actors or with students and teachers. My JADA family are so important to me, its given me a space to understand myself, and it’s where I have met some of my closest friends. Seeing the school evolve and succeed is one of the most rewarding things to me, and there’s no where else I would want to be each week.

Addison Bartlett (She/Her)

Dance captain
Addison has been at JADA since she was 6.
Jada is a massive part of my life. It has given me amazing opportunities and has allowed me to perfom and compete with some wonderful and talented people. I have not only been able to perform but experience what it’s like backstage and behind the scenes. JADA has amazing teachers that encourage all of the students to help us to become the best at what we do.
JADA has helped me find my passion in dance and performing due to the help and support of teachers, mentors and my peers. It has not only helped me but let me help others. I assist in some lessons for the younger students and support during dance and drama performances. This has helped me develop my mentoring skills.
JADA is a massive family where we all support and encourage each other. Every student at JADA is supportive encouraging and caring. I am so happy to be a part of the community.
